Start your tour with the visit to the ruins of the ancient city of Jerash, then see the church with beautiful mosaics in Madaba, and finally the breathtaking views from Mount Nebo before you head south to the legendary Lost City of Petra.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Amman – Transfer to the City

Upon arrival at Queen Alia Airport, a representative from Around Egypt Tours will meet you after customs clearance and guide you to your driver. After that, you will be driven to your hotel in Amman, which will take about 45 minutes. You will have the whole day to either go around and see things or just relax. Night in Amman.

Day 2: Amman City Tour and Jerash Excursion

Begin your day with a guided visit to Amman, a lively city that has been referred to in the Bible as Rabbath Ammon. Stop by the historical sites in the downtown area, such as the Citadel, the Archaeological Museum, and the Roman Theatre, which has a capacity of 6,000. Once you have finished with Amman, head to the nearby ancient city of Jerash, famed for its nicely preserved Roman buildings, like the forum, colonnaded street, Nymphaeum, and the Temple of Artemis. Come back to Amman for a night.

Day 3: Amman to Petra via Madaba, Mt. Nebo, and the Dead Sea

Depart from Amman and go to Madaba to admire the well-known 6th-century mosaic map of Palestine at St. George’s Church. Then go on to the mountain of Nebo, the place where Moses is believed to have gotten a glimpse of the Land flowing with milk and honey. After that, the Dead Sea will be your next destination, the Earth's most depressed area, where you can soak up its saltwater and feel as if you’re floating. En route to Petra, stop by the ancient and picturesque Shobak Castle and enjoy the panorama of Dana Village. One night in Petra.

Day 4: Explore Petra and Return to Amman

Start your day with a trip to Petra, the most renowned attraction in Jordan and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With the help of your guide, go through Siq, a tiny canyon that takes you to the Treasury, and then move to the Street of Facades, Royal Tombs, and Pharaoh’s Castle. Have some time to discover by yourself and then come back to Amman in the afternoon. Stay overnight in Amman.

Day 5: Jerusalem Old City Tour

In the morning you will be transferred to the Allenby Bridge, where you will be crossing from Jordan to the Holy Land. After a shuttle bus transfer between the borders, you will be driven to Jerusalem. Start with the panoramic view of the city from the Mount of Olives, and then go to the Garden of Gethsemane and the Wailing Wall. If allowed, go to the Temple Mount. Walk along the Via Dolorosa, retracing the steps of Jesus to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Visit the Old City’s market (Suq) and see King David’s Tomb and the Room of the Last Supper. Stay overnight in Jerusalem.

Visit the Church of St. John in the Mountains and the Church of Visitation, where Mary visited Elizabeth. Spend the night in Jerusalem.
