On this 5-Day trip from Amman to Petra, you will get to know the best of Jordan. You will start with Amman, where you will walk around its colorful streets and discover the past through its historic sites. Then, you will proceed to the ancient city of Petra, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Besides, you will also encounter the stunning scenery of Wadi Rum, the Dead Sea will be visited, and authentic Jordanian culture will be experienced on the way. This thoughtfully planned trip has the ideal mix of history, adventure, and relaxation, hence it is the best option for both Jordan tours and memorable Middle East experiences.
Upon arrival at Queen Alia International Airport, you are greeted and assisted by your tour manager-begin-already at the airport. Transfer from the airport to your Amman hotel by private air-conditioned vehicle. A briefing from your tour manager about day two of the trip is immediately followed. Enjoy a welcome drink this evening and then return to your hotel for the night.
Begin your day with breakfast before heading out to explore Madaba, home to the celebrated 4th-century mosaic map of Israel inside Greek Orthodox Church of St. George. From there, check out Mount Nebo, from where Moses is said to have beheld the Promised Land and generally accepted to be Moses's burial site. Enjoy some admirable panoramic views over the Jordan Valley up until the Dead Sea, and parts of the Holy Land.
Afterward, proceed to the Dead Sea, the world's lowest body of water, renowned for its therapeutic mud rich in minerals. Sprawl, bob in the salubrious waters, and reap benefits from one of the natural wonders. The rest of the evening will be spent at the hotel in Amman.
After breakfast, we rise up for our northward exposure to the well-preserved Roman city of Jerash. Notable attractions include the grand colonnaded streets, the Oval Plaza, the Nymphaeum, and the Temple of Artemis. Follow-up begins with the renowned Ajloun Castle, erected by Salah Al-Din's general in 1184 A. D. Proceed to ancient Umm Qais, a Greco-Roman city remembered largely by its vantage point, overlooking the Sea of Galilee and Golan Heights. After a long day out visiting Jordanian history, head back to the hotel in Amman to retire.
After having breakfast, you proceed towards the south just to witness Petra, the most famous archaeological site in Jordan. This trade and culture center was founded by the Nabateans around the 6th century B. C. On your arrival, you are greeted upon a horse ride to the Siq Gorge leading a walk to the Treasury that will make an everlasting mark in your mind. Visit other important landmarks such as the Street of Facades, Royal Tombs, and Pharaoh's Castle. After the tour, turn back to Amman for the night.
On the final day of your 5-Day trip from Amman to Petra, Jordan , enjoy breakfast and check out of your hotel by noon. Depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred to Queen Alia International Airport for your departure.
