Day 1: Arrival in Amman

Welcome to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan! At Queen Alia International Airport, our representative will meet you with a sign and help you to your hotel in Amman, which is only a 45-minute drive. After check-in, you can take the rest of the day to either relax or tour the city at your own pace. Overnight stay at the Toledo Hotel or a hotel of the same standard.

Day 2: Amman, As Salt, and Jordan Valley

After having breakfast, we will head to the town of Salt and visit the shrine of Prophet Yusha (Joshua), the one who took over from Moses as the scriptural leader, as the Quran tells us. The shrine of Shuaib (Jethro), who was very famous for his advice, will be our next stop. After that, we will continue our journey towards the Jordan Valley to visit the grave of Abu Obaidah, the famous companion of the Prophet Mohammad, who is venerated in Islam. We will also visit the tombs of Dirar and Shurahbeel, who were two other companions of the Prophet and died in Jordan during the Great Plague. After this magnificent tour, we will drive back to your hotel in Amman. Overnight at Toledo Hotel or one more comparable place to stay with breakfast provided.

After the visit, we will go to the Dead Sea for a beach holiday, where floating in its mineral-rich water is one of the options. Then we will visit Lot’s Cave, which is supposed to be the place where Lot sought refuge after Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed. The day is all about the magnificent red rose city of Petra, the most popular site in Jordan. The first stop of your general walk will be the Siq, the narrow gorge that leads to the Treasury and where the famous facades are located, plus you will also see the Royal Tombs and Pharaoh's Castle. After your guided tour, spend some time to wander around and discover different parts of Petra by yourself, maybe even scaling the 800 steps to the Monastery El Deir. Later drive for 1.5 hours, which takes us to Wadi Rum, which is the location of your desert camping site, where dinner is waiting for you and the night in the desert. Overnight at Yasmina Camp or similar, with breakfast and dinner included.

After this activity, we will drive back to Amman for 4 hours. If time allows, we will go to Citadel Hill, where you can see the ruins from the Roman to the early Islamic periods and have a fantastic view of Amman. You will also be able to visit the busy Souq and see the Grand Husseini Mosque. Spend the night at the 3-star Toledo Hotel or similar accommodation. Breakfast is included.
