Welcome to Egypt! As soon as you arrive at Cairo International Airport, a kind representative from Around Egypt Tours will be there to meet you and help you with the necessary paperwork. Then, a comfortable private transfer will take you to your hotel in Cairo. You can use the rest of the day to either relax or discover the city by yourself.
Overnight stay in Cairo
After having breakfast, take off on a trip with your professional Egyptologist guide. Take a trip to the Giza Plateau, the famous site where the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos are located. Get amazed by the enigma of the Sphinx and the Valley Temple, which was a place for the performance of ancient rites.
Next, move on to the Grand Egyptian Museum, which is to be one of the finest and most attractive cultural sites in the world, and it will be exhibiting more than 100,000 artifacts, including the Golden King Tut's treasures. After that, lunch will be served in a place that is very local, and then you will go back to the hotel for the night.
Following breakfast, you will be taken to Cairo Airport for your domestic flight to Luxor. After you have arrived, your guide will assist you in the exploration of the East Bank of Luxor. Visit the Karnak Temple Complex, the biggest religious place ever constructed, and Luxor Temple, a stunning building that is lit up beautifully at night.
Later, you will go on a luxury Nile cruise where you will have lunch and dinner served on board as you relax and prepare for your trip on the Nile.
Stay overnight onboard in Luxor.
Having breakfast on board, you will then take a ferry to cross the Nile to the West Bank of Luxor, which is the site of the famous ancient Egyptian burial places. Visit the Valley of the Kings, where the remains of King Tutankhamun and Ramses II were laid to rest.
Proceed to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut—an extraordinary pyramid-like temple built into the mountain landscape at Deir el-Bahari. Take some pictures of the Colossi of Memnon before going back to your ship for lunch and sailing in the afternoon to Edfu.
During the horse-drawn carriage ride after breakfast, head to the Temple of Horus in Edfu, one of the most intact temples in Egypt. Enjoy the magnificent and detailed reliefs picturing the never-ending conflict between Horus and Seth. Go back to your boat to carry on sailing to Kom Ombo, where the everyday life of the Egyptians was hitched to the flourishing decrease of the Nile, and visit the twin Temple of Sobek and Horus the Elder that comes magnificently over the river.
Overnight on board near Aswan.
After breakfast, explore the best of Aswan. Start your day with the Philae Temple Tour, which was once the main place of worship for the goddess Isis and now is situated on a beautiful island where it was moved to protect it from the flooding of the Nile. Continue to the Aswan High Dam, which is one of the modern engineering triumphs of Egypt. The rest of the day will be spent on the boat soaking in the calming vistas of the Nile.
Aswan, overnight on board
After having breakfast, get off your cruise and transfer to the Aswan Airport for your flight back to Cairo. On arrival, you may check in at the hotel and then spend your last night in Egypt as you wish—for example, strolling through the vibrant streets of Cairo or enjoying a farewell gourmet dinner with a nice view of the Nile.
Enjoy your last breakfast in Egypt before checking out. At the scheduled time, a representative from Around Egypt Tours will transfer you to Cairo International Airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your unforgettable 8-day Egypt Easter Package.
