In the early morning, you will sail away to Luxor while enjoying breakfast on board; then, you're off to one of the most spectacular Egypt tours on the West Bank of Luxor. Start your tour by visiting an ancient royal cemetery for 62 pharaohs in the Valley of the Kings (the original burial site of the world-renowned boy king Tutankhamun). After that, you will move on to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (the only female pharaoh) at El Deir EL Bahari, which was constructed in the 15th century BC. The two towering statues of the Colossi of Memnon stand nearby. (The three tombs that are visited are determined each year by the Egyptian Government to prevent their being overrun, and therefore these three tombs are being used in rotation throughout the year; we cannot confirm which will be visited before your arrival.) After the tour, you will return to the Nile cruise for the night. Afternoon tea in the Winter Palace Hotel will follow, and then return for dinner and overnight on board with the Nile cruise in Luxor.
Enjoy an awesome hot air balloon ride before breakfast on board. Disembark from your Nile River cruise after breakfast. Later, you will meet a guide who will take you through this wonderful site of the East Bank of the Nile in Luxor to Karnak Temple, the largest ancient religious site in the world. This is one of the breathtaking landmarks of Egypt; the massive granite columns in the hypostyle hall speak of its grandeur. Free time will be allocated to explore some parts of this giant complex built during different pharaohs' reigns. Then you will transfer to the beautiful Luxor Temple, which was built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for the rites and festivals dedicated to the God Amun. Finally, you will be transferred to Luxor train station or Luxor airport, concluding your amazing 4-day Nile cruise Egypt Christmas package.
