Day 1: Arrival in Aswan

Day 2: Aswan Sightseeing & Kom Ombo Temple

After breakfast take a guided sightseeing tour around Aswan's most famous sights.

Explore the amazing Aswan High Dam which is a fantastic piece of modern Egyptian engineering and provides views over both the River Nile and Lake Nasser. From the High Dam take a relaxing motor boat to the elegant Philae Temple on Agilkia Island. This beautiful complex, devoted to the goddess Isis, boasts some exquisite design and carving and is set stunningly on an island on the Nile.

From the Temple it is back on the Commodore Nile Cruise for lunch and sailing to Kom Ombo. Arrive at Kom Ombo to visit its incredible dual temple, one part devoted to Sobek, the crocodile god, and the other to Haroeris, the hawk-headed god.

5 Days - Luxor / Aswan Every Monday

Day 1: Arrival in Luxor & East Bank Wonders

When you arrive in Luxor your representative from Around Egypt Tours will meet and greet you and then transfer to Luxury Commodore Nile Cruise, which is one of the best Egypt Nile River Cruise deals from $549.

Check in to the boat and enjoy your lunch on board and then starting your escorted Luxor East Bank Tour to visit Karnak Temple Complex, the biggest religious construction made during the ancient Egypt history ever.

Day 2: West Bank of Luxor & Sailing to Edfu

After breakfast, we continue across the River Nile to the famous West Bank of Luxor and the resting places of some of the greatest pharaohs of ancient Egypt.

Begin your exploration at the Valley of the Kings. The richly decorated tombs of pharaohs were carved deep into the mountains and there you will learn how the walls have been adorned with brilliant hieroglyphs depicting the scenes from the Book of the Dead used to guide the ruler through their journey into the next life.

We continue our journey on the West Bank to the temple of Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari, one of the most striking pieces of architecture in Egypt built into the sheer limestone cliffs. We also see the two giant Colossi of Memnon that have stood sentinel over the Theban plain for over three thousand years, these depict Amenhotep III.

Return to the cruise for lunch as you continue south along the Nile, passing through the famous lock at Esna en route for Edfu. Unwind and observe life along the river as we pass numerous traditional Egyptian villages on this peaceful stretch of the river.

Day 3: Edfu Temple & Kom Ombo Experience

Check out the enormous pylons, the giant statues of falcons, and the many detailed reliefs which depicts the myth of the struggle between Horus and Seth, as well as old religious customs and ceremonies. Back on the Commodore Nile Cruise, resume sailing toward Kom Ombo while you have lunch and admire the beautiful scenery of the Nile River.

Commodore Nile Cruise Payment Policy

To secure your desired program and ensure availability, we recommend making reservations as early as possible. A deposit of 25% of the total amount is required to secure your booking, except during the Christmas and New Year holidays when a deposit of 50% is necessary. This deposit will be deducted from your final payment. The remaining balance can be settled up to one week before your arrival date or in cash upon your arrival.

Additional Entry Tickets For Commodore Nile Cruise

Please note that the Commodore Nile Cruise doesn't include entrance fees to the special archaeological sites, such as entering the interior of the Tomb of Tutankhamun at the Valley of the Kings in Luxor. Separate fees apply for these attractions.

Best Time to Sail

The ideal season for a Nile cruise is October to April when temperatures are comfortable (18–28°C). Summer travel (May–September) offers the best prices but higher daytime temperatures (35–42°C). The Nile is beautiful year-round and the temples can be visited in all seasons.

Cancellation Policy For Commodore Nile Cruise

• Cancellations made from the date of booking until 61 days before your arrival date will incur a 10% cancellation fee of the entire tour price.
• Cancellations made between 60 and 31 days before your arrival date will incur a 20% cancellation fee of the entire tour price.
• Cancellations made between 30 and 15 days before your arrival date will incur a 50% cancellation fee of the entire tour price.
• Cancellations made between 14 and 1 day before your arrival date will incur a 100% cancellation fee of the entire tour price.
