4 Days - Aswan / Luxor Every Friday

Day 1: Embarkation in Aswan – Gateway to the Nile

On arrival in Aswan board your Historia the Boutique Hotel Nile Cruise and receive a gourmet welcome lunch. Settle into your elegant cabin.

Spend your afternoon exploring with a guided visit to Aswan High Dam – an engineering marvel which defined Egypt's future. Take a motorboat to the mystical island setting of the Temple of Philae and the great goddess Isis.

Back at the cruise get settled and enjoy the deck, while your ship starts sailing towards Kom Ombo. Have a delectable onboard dinner with a low key entertainment and views of the Nile under the stars.

Day 2: Temples of Gods – Kom Ombo & Edfu

Start your morning with tea before visiting the striking Temple of Kom Ombo, uniquely dedicated to Sobek and Horus the Elder.

Continue sailing toward Edfu, passing the dramatic cliffs of Gebel el-Silsila. Breakfast will be served on board, and you can look forward to a demonstration cooking and a unique chance to visit the captain's bridge.

Later on this day, discover the breathtakingly preserved temple of Edfu devoted to Horus. Upon arrival by horse and carriage you can step through the impressive pylon and explore the awe-inspiring hall of this temple.

Sail towards Luxor and discover the historically significant Esna Lock. Dinner on board will consist of lunch and afternoon tea, followed by a cocktail party and an exceptional Eastern dinner.

Day 3: The Royal Legacy of Luxor-Luxor West Bank Tour

Enjoy a morning in the West Bank of Luxor which includes your visit to the eternal city of the pharaohs.

Visit the well-known Valley of the Kings and see the amazing burial chambers of the pharaohs in beautifully decorated caves hewn out of the desert rocks. Continue on to see Hatshepsut's temple which is cut into a cliff face. Stand beneath the magnificent Colossi of Memnon where for so long the watchmen of ancient Thebes kept their vigil.

Board your cruise ship for lunch and later head across to the East Bank to visit Karnak's monumental temple complex and Luxor temple which at sunset, sparkles.

Conclude the day with your own forms of entertainment onboard and enjoy your dinner.

Day 4: Farewell to the Nile

5 Days - Luxor / Aswan Every Monday

Day 1: Arrival in Luxor – Go on a Timeless Journey

Arrive in Luxor and meet with our representative who will provide a warm greeting and assist you with embarkation on board Historia the Boutique Hotel Nile Cruise after mid day. Get comfortable in your luxurious cabins and delight in the first elegant meals on board while you admire the majestic Nile.

In the afternoon, we continue our journey through the ancient Thebes by visiting the overwhelming Karnak Temple Complex, a large site of religious temples, chapels, pylons, and other buildings in Egypt built by many Pharaohs. Behold enormous pylons, hallowed courts, tall obelisks and an impressive hypostyle hall with soaring colums covered in hieroglyphs.

Explore the elegant Luxor Temple, beautifully illuminated along the Nile Corniche. Built by Amenhotep III and completed by Ramses II, this ceremonial temple was once the scene of the annual Opet festival. It is a captivating monument within the land of Egypt.

Return to the cruise for evening entertainment followed by a gourmet dinner in an atmosphere of refined luxury.

Day 2: The Royal Luxor West Bank Tour & Sailing to Esna

After breakfast, cross to Luxor’s legendary West Bank, home to Egypt’s most celebrated royal necropolis.

See the celebrated Valley of the Kings where the New Kingdom pharaohs were laid to rest in ornate tombs hewn out deep into the desert mountains. The intricate wall paintings and hieroglyphics vividly portray what the Ancient Egyptians considered to be their life in the afterlife.

Walk up to the amazing temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari rising in tiers of elegant curves up from the side of majestic cliffs. Dedicated to the most successful female pharaoh to ever reign in Egypt, the temple is considered one of ancient Egypt's most spectacular architectural achievements.

See the massive Colossi of Memnon on the West Bank before returning to the ship.

Have a relaxed lunch while we sail to Esna and watch the rich Nile scenery with its palm trees and riverside villages slip by. Afterwards, tour the ship's wheelhouse to get a fascinating firsthand look at piloting a Nile cruiser before afternoon tea is served on the deck.

The evening will conclude with a cocktail reception before the gourmet dinner is served on the ship.

Day 3: Edfu & Kom Ombo – Temples Along the Nile

Sail early toward Edfu while enjoying panoramic views of Upper Egypt’s timeless scenery.

Following breakfast you'll visit the astonishingly well preserved Temple of Edfu, an ancient tribute to the falcon headed god Horus. Your arrival at the temple will be made by local horse drawn carriage, after which you'll explore one of the most amazing of Egyptian temples with its colossal pylons, ritual chambers, and beautifully incised wall reliefs.

A journey back on board for continued sailing by the magnificent cliffs of Gebel el Silsila, where one of ancient Egypt's chief sandstone quarries is to be found.

After a delicious lunch on board the ship, you'll be fascinated by the unusual Temple of Kom Ombo, shared between the crocodile headed god Sobek and the falcon headed god Horus the Elder. Located on a striking turn in the Nile, the temple is particularly noted for its elegant symmetry and intricate reliefs representing both Egyptian medicine and legend.

As evening falls, enjoy a themed gourmet dinner while sailing toward Aswan.

Day 4: The Serenity of Aswan City Tour

Wake in Aswan, with its sun-drenched desert surrounds and granite islands and the peaceful Nile, in what many say is Egypt's most romantic setting.

Start with a trip to the astonishing Unfinished Obelisk which remains in the ancient granite quarries, allowing an insight into the skill of ancient stonemasons.

Visit the stunning Temple of Philae, which is picturesquely located on Agilkia Island, and which you will arrive at by scenic motorboat trip on the Nile. This temple is dedicated to the goddess Isis, and has lovely colonnades and well preserved reliefs.

Then take a traditional felucca sailing trip around Kitchener's Island and the tomb of Aga Khan situated on the hill above, where the golden sunset light reflects on the Nile.

Return on board for a last, delicious dinner and refined evenings aboard Historia.

Historia Nile Cruise Payment Policy

To secure your desired program and ensure availability, we recommend making reservations as early as possible. A deposit of 25% of the total amount is required to secure your booking, except during the Christmas and New Year holidays when a deposit of 50% is necessary. This deposit will be deducted from your final payment. The remaining balance can be settled up to one week before your arrival date or in cash upon your arrival.

Additional Entry Tickets For Historia Nile Cruise

Please note that the Historia Nile Cruise doesn't include entrance fees to the special archaeological sites, such as entering the interior of the Tomb of Tutankhamun at the Valley of the Kings in Luxor. Separate fees apply for these attractions.

Best Time to Sail

The ideal season for a Nile cruise is October to April when temperatures are comfortable (18–28°C). Summer travel (May–September) offers the best prices but higher daytime temperatures (35–42°C). The Nile is beautiful year-round and the temples can be visited in all seasons.

Solo Travellers

Solo travellers are welcome on the Historia Nile Cruise. A single supplement applies to solo cabin occupancy. We can also try to arrange shared-cabin options for solo travellers on request — contact our team for details.

Cancellation Policy For Historia Nile Cruise

• Cancellations made from the date of booking until 61 days before your arrival date will incur a 10% cancellation fee of the entire tour price.
• Cancellations made between 60 and 31 days before your arrival date will incur a 20% cancellation fee of the entire tour price.
• Cancellations made between 30 and 15 days before your arrival date will incur a 50% cancellation fee of the entire tour price.
• Cancellations made between 14 and 1 day before your arrival date will incur a 100% cancellation fee of the entire tour price.

Furthermore, please note that cancellation fees may also apply to domestic flights within Egypt according to the airline's specific cancellation policy.
