8-day Egypt Trip with Nile Cruise

Your tour manager will greet you at Cairo International Airport and escort you to your hotel in a private, air-conditioned deluxe van. At the hotel, the representative will assist you with a smooth check-in and review your itinerary to confirm the pick-up times for each of your 8-day Egypt trips. Overnight in Cairo.

After your hotel breakfast, you will visit with your personal guide the famous Giza Plateau to view the only one of the original Seven Great Wonders of the Ancient World remaining—the Great Pyramids of Khufu (Cheops as the Ancient Greeks referred to him). Also on the plateau are Khafre's (Chephren) and the smallest pyramid, Menkaure (Mykerinos). Then you move to the Valley Temple and the Sphinx, the other pyramids of Chephren. Have a free camel ride tour for 15 minutes. Lunch en route during the tour at a good-quality local restaurant famous for great Egyptian cuisine, then proceed to visit the Egyptian Museum, where you will find the magnificent collection of Tutankhamun as well as numerous other lovely artifacts. Then go back to your hotel.
Overnight in Cairo

Set off after breakfast from your Cairo hotel in the direction of Cairo Airport on your journey to Luxor. Upon arrival, you will be met by our representative at Luxor Airport, and then he will escort you onto your Nile River cruise. After lunch on board, you are taken on a wonderful tour of the East Bank of the Nile in Luxor to Karnak Temple, the world's largest ancient religious complex. Egypt's most outstanding landmark is the colossal columned hypostyle hall. Time is allowed to enjoy the different aspects of the colossal complex built during different pharaohs' reigns. After that, you will proceed to the magnificent Luxor Temple, which was built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II for religious purposes, festivities, and in honor of the God Amun. Dinner on board the Nile boat.
Overnight in Luxor

After breakfast, your tour guide will escort you to the west bank of Luxor, and you will discover on your best tours of Egypt a visit to the royal cemetery for 64 pharaohs in the Valley of the Kings (the authentic tomb of the world-famous boy king Tutankhamun). Next, you will visit the Temple of Female Pharaoh Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari, built during the 15th century BC, and the two Colossi of Memnon. (The three tombs that are visited are selected by the Egyptian government so that they can be preserved from the large number of tourists; therefore, they are rotated every now and then during the year, and it cannot be ascertained which tombs before your visit.). In the evening, you will be sailing to Edfu and having dinner on the cruise.

Following breakfast on your cruise, our guide will lead you to view the Horus Temple of Edfu by a kalesh ride (horse and carriage). Visit the grand Ptolemaic Temple of Horus at Edfu, the best and most preserved of all Egyptian temples, with hundreds of columns, halls, rooms, and chapels. Two statues of Horus are the sentinels at the twin towers gateway. Then you cruise to Kom Ombo to see the unique Temple of Sobek during your lunch on the cruise. Then, you cruise to Aswan. Dinner on board the Nile River cruise.

After your breakfast aboard your cruise, your personal tour guide will accompany you to start your day of Aswan tours by boat across to Agilika Island to visit Philae Temple, which is dedicated to the goddess Isis and one of the Nubian Temples preserved before the building of the High Dam. Enjoy Philae's long colonnades, towers, and reliefs, including the last surviving hieroglyphic and demotic inscriptions in Egypt. Lunch and dinner aboard your luxury Nile River cruise. Overnight in Aswan.

Break away from your cruise after breakfast at 08:00 a.m. You will then be driven to Aswan Airport to fly back to Cairo, where our representative will meet and assist you. He will transfer you to your hotel for free time to stay at your hotel in Cairo. Or choose one of our optional tours and don't spend a day on your Egypt tours.

Breakfast, then proceed to Cairo International Airport for your final departure. At the end of your 8-day Egypt Trip.
