Start your Ancient Egypt tour by fueling up with a delightful breakfast at your hotel before setting off with your private guide for a day of exploration. Your first destination is one of Egypt's most astonishing landmarks, the Step Pyramid at Saqqara, designed by the legendary architect Imhotep for King Zoser. The incredible structure of this pyramid is guaranteed to leave you awe-inspired. Take a break during your tour to savor a healthy and delicious lunch at a highly rated restaurant. Then, continue your journey to visit the only surviving wonder of the original Seven Wonders of the Ancient World—the Great Pyramids of Khufu, also called Cheops by the Ancient Greeks. The plateau is also home to the pyramids of Khafre (Chephren) and the smallest pyramid, Menkaure (Mykerinos). Your next stop is at the Sphinx and the Valley Temple, which is connected to the Pyramids of Chephren. Back to your hotel. Spend the night in Cairo.
Have a delicious breakfast at your hotel and then go on an interesting Egypt tour with your own guide. Begin your day by exploring Coptic Cairo, where you will be able to visit the Hanging Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue Church, two of Egypt's most impressive religious structures. Next, go to The Egyptian Museum, where you will be able to see a magnificent collection of artifacts, including the magnificent collection of Tutankhamun. Awe at the marvels on show and learn about Egypt's past through these ancient relics. After your tour, return to your hotel to rest and reflect on your day's adventures.
Begin your day with a delectable breakfast before checking out of your hotel in Cairo and making your way to Cairo Airport for your flight to Aswan. Your first stop is the magnificent Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, situated on Agilkia Island. Enjoy a boat ride across the Nile River to reach the temple, which is one of the Nubian temples that was rescued before the construction of the High Dam. Admire the stunning colonnades, towers, and reliefs, including the last surviving hieroglyphic and demotic inscriptions in Egypt. Lunch at a nice restaurant after the tour should be a nice break with a healthy and tasteful variety. Take a sunset boat trip in the evening to the Nubian Village, located on the west bank of the Nile River. After an insightful experience, you will be taken back to your Aswan hotel for rest for the night and readiness for the outing the following day.
After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, you will continue your Egypt tour by visiting Abu Simbel, which is about a three-hour drive away. The two temples of Abu Simbel are considered to be the masterpieces of ancient Egypt, with a unique style that reflects the glory and grandeur of the New Kingdom. It is also known as The Sun Temple of Ramesses II. The Temple of Queen Nefertari, also called the Temple of Hathor, brings Ramesses II, Nefertari, Hathor, and the Sun God together symbolically. After the tour, you will be escorted back to Aswan, where you will embark on a Nile cruise. Enjoy an overnight stay on the Nile cruise in Aswan.
After breakfast, you will proceed on your way to Kom Ombo for a visit to the Temple of Kom Ombo, one dedicated to two gods: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon-headed god. Appreciate the unusual architecture of this temple while also learning about ancient Egyptian beliefs and rituals associated with these gods. Then, you will continue cruising along the Nile toward Edfu and have lunch on board. Upon arrival, you will board a Kalesh (horse and carriage) to visit the Temple of Horus at Edfu. This Ptolemaic temple is one of the best-preserved Egyptian temples and includes many halls, chambers, columns, and chapels. Two large statues of Horus guard the entrance gate, thus enhancing the grandeur of this impressive structure. Afternoon tea will be served while sailing toward Esna, and the panoramic views along the Nile will be enjoyed. Dinner on the cruise boat will be served in the evening, followed by an overnight stay on board.
Breakfast on board during your sail to Luxor. Then, your tour guide will accompany you to visit the west bank of Luxor and start your tour by visiting the royal cemetery for 64 Pharaohs in the Valley of the Kings (the original resting place of the world-famous boy King Tutankhamun). After that, you will move to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (the only female pharaoh) at El Deir El Bahari, which was built in the 15th century BC, and the two towering statues of Memnon. (The three tombs visited are determined by the Egyptian government to preserve them from the large flow of visitors; therefore, they are rotated throughout the year, and it cannot be confirmed which tombs will be open before your visit.). Then, you will go back to the cruise for lunch on board. Enjoy an afternoon tea on board the Nile cruise. Dinner on board. Overnight in Luxor.
After breakfast on the cruise, disembark and meet your guide to embark on a fascinating tour of Luxor's East Bank. The first stop is Karnak Temple. It is believed to be the largest ancient religious site in the world, filled with a vast complex of iconography such as the hypostyle hall with massive columns, one of Egypt's most famous sights. You will have time to explore the different sections of the temple, built and added to over the various reigns of Pharaohs. Next, you will proceed to Luxor Temple, built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II. The temple was used for rituals and festivals in honor of God Amun. Afterward, you will then continue to your hotel in Luxor, where you will be free to relax and explore at your leisure. Overnight stay in Luxor.
