10 Days Jordan and Egypt Islamic Tour

You will start off your Islamic historical sites early from the hotel, making a trip to the shrine of Prophet Yusha (Joshua), who is supposed to be the successor of Prophet Moses as per the Quran. Then, you will go to the shrine of Shuaib (Jethro), who was a wise man and played a big role in convincing merchants to stop their corrupt practices.
Later, visit Mahis to the Shrine of Al-Khidr, a holy person in the Quran seen as a wise and good servant of God. Go on to the Mosque of Abu Obaidah, an intimate friend of Prophet Muhammad and one of the first to accept Islam, whose grave is within the mosque.
From there, you will go to the Shrine of the Sahabi Muadh ibn Jabal, who taught about halal and haram, then to the shrine of Sharhabil bin Hassneh, a general in the Rashidun Army. Then, you will travel to the resting place of Amr ibn Abi Waqqas, the eleventh person to turn to Islam, and the Shrine of Dhirar Al Azwar, who was known for his bravery in fighting against the Byzantine army.
Finally, you will finish your day back in Amman at the tomb of Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf Al Zuhri, who was an important character in the history of Islam, taking part in major wars including the conquest of Mecca.

Start your journey early to the Cave of the Seven Sleepers, better known as Kahf Al Raqim, a place where, according to the Quran, seven boys just fled from persecution and slept for three hundred years. In Amman, check out the remnants of the Umayyad Palace on Citadel Hill and then proceed to the Prophet Mohammad Museum in King Hussein Park.
After that, take a two-hour trip to Kerak, the location of the Battle of Mutah in 629 AD, where Prophet Muhammad's forces clashed with the Byzantines and the Christian Ghassanids. Here, make a stop at the burial places of Zaid bin Harith, Ja’far ibn Abi Talib, and Abdullah bin Ruwah, then view the magnificent 12th-century Crusader Castle with its thrilling vistas and numerous underground passages, which will surely impress you. To finish the day, take a short ride back to your hotel in Amman for the night.

Take a trip to the north, where the Shrine of Prophet Hud, who was a descendant of the Prophet Noah, and the Ikrima bin Abu Jahl shrine are located. After that, visit the extraordinary remains of Jerash, where a Roman provincial city has remained intact. Besides the Forum, the colonnaded street, the Nymphaeum, and the temples, there are also two theaters among them that will make you wonder at their beauty.
Once you finish your visit to Jerash, drive for one and a half hours to the Dead Sea, literally the Earth's lowest point at 430 meters below sea level. Relax at a beach that provides locker rooms and showers, float in the incredibly salty water and apply the therapeutic mud from the shores to your skin for a rejuvenating experience. Come back to your hotel in Amman for a night's stay.

Take a beautiful 2.5-hour road trip through the Desert Highway to Petra, the amazing city of rose-red color that the Nabateans carved into rock around the 6th century B.C. Start your adventure with a walk through the Siq, a narrow gorge that leads you to the amazing Treasury, a huge building that is more than 40 meters high and is delicately carved out of sandstone. Go on along the Street of Facades, passing by the ancient Theatre and Royal Tombs. After your tour of Petra, drive for 1.5 hours to Wadi Rum, where you will be staying at the Desert Moon Camp and get to know the beautiful desert nature.

Start your day off right with an exciting 4x4 jeep ride in Wadi Rum, where a Bedouin driver will take you around and show you the vast desert's rough beauty, colorful sands, and ancient Nabatean rock carvings.
After this thrilling adventure, drive back to Amman for four hours and visit the King Abdullah Mosque, the one with the gorgeous blue dome and impressive architecture.

Begin your day with an 8:00 am pickup from your hotel by an Around Egypt Tours guide. Spend the day visiting the Great Pyramids of Giza: the massive Pyramids of Khufu (Cheops), Khafre (Chephren), and Menkaure (Mycerinus). Discovering Cairo's illustrious Islamic heritage begins with visiting the magnificent Sultan Hassan Mosque and Madrasa, the finest example of Mamluk architecture. Next, move on to the neighboring mosque Reffai, famous for its grandeur and historical importance. Complete the triad with a visit to the Ibn Tulun mosque, which rises up as one of the oldest mosques in the city, and then head to the Gayer-Anderson museum, highlighting the heritage of British officer John Gayer-Anderson.

Your tour will also take you to the Mosque of Amr ibn al-As, the first mosque in Africa, next to the historic Citadel of Saladin with the Muhammad Ali Mosque inside towards the end, whilst visiting Khan El Khalili with a research exploration of the Al-Azhar Mosque and Al-Hussein Mosque before a pedestrian stroll down Al-Muizz Street, a full immersion in the stunning medieval Islamic architecture of Cairo.

On this early day, you will transfer to Cairo Airport for the domestic flight to Luxor, a journey of about one hour. On arrival, begin a trip to the East Bank, visiting the grand Karnak Temple with the Great Hypostyle Hall in its dusk. This temple was constructed by a series of generations of pharaohs over two millennia. After this, continue the tour of the wonderful Luxor Temple, built by Amenhotep III and enhanced by Ramses II. Shortly afterwards, return to your Luxor hotel for an overnight stay. There is the option of watching the Sound and Light Show at Karnak Temple—an account of the temple's history—or touring around Luxor City on your own and breathing in the spirit of the market.

Begin your day with a visit to the archaeological site on the west bank of Luxor. It is famous for archaeological treasures like the Valley of the Kings, where the tombs of King Tutankhamun and 62 other pharaohs were found.
